About the Artist

Cheryl Cohen in studio

Cheryl’s mosaic style combines everything that she loves including glass, tile, mirror, stone, shells, jewelry, and beads as well as shards of pottery and china. Over the years she has found great joy in continually evolving her art through experimentation and the insights gained by teaching others. She sells her work in her studio, at local craft shows and on a commission basis.

Cheryl has been creating mosaic art for 20 years, and teaches mixed media mosaic art to adults and children at her studio, Cheryl Cohen Mosaic Art Center at 360 Woodland Street in Holliston. The studio opened in June, 2014 and offers after school programs to children ages eight and up, and adult programs, up to 8 classes per week, last year teaching 2000 students.  She also offers monthly Ladies’ Nights Out, Mosaic Saturdays, and specialty classes. Cheryl will help you plan special events i ncluding birthday parties, family reunions, work gatherings, etc. In addition to Cheryl’s classes, other local artists offer instruction in other forms of art.

Cheryl lives in Hopkinton, MA. She has a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and a master’s degree in education. As an occupational therapist she specialized in working with school age children with special needs for 25 years. Cheryl has taken classes with world renowned mosaic artists including Sonia King, Marion Shapiro, Sharri Warner Hunter, Lynn Chinn and more.
